I acquired my Emergency Mission a couple of months ago. This is my first Breitling and I like this model because of its aesthetic versatility. It's looks quite different with each strap/bracelet I put on. I can prepare it for any occasion with an Diver Pro I, polished steel or NATO Bond strap.

I was going to wait until I turned 40 or 50 to get my first, but 30 came and I just could not wait any longer. Every single day I feel good when I put this on!

What year is that Mission? That's my favorite one by far! Also, is it rugged enough to go in pools or not so much?

Not usually a fan of NATO, but that actually looks pretty sharp.

The inspection sticker is dated May 2009. I think they actually call this the Mission II. The only concern I have about getting this wet is that I do not use the chronograph buttons in the water. Other than that, it's solid. It has a screw down crown and is rated at 100m. - Maximillion

Thanks! I actually already had the NATO strap before the watch. I did not like it on this Mission at first, but now I really do. A benefit that I found is that it's very thin and fits better under the cuffs of dress shirts which helps because this is a very thick watch. - Maximillion

Happy (probably belated) birthday. It is amazing how a watch can change its look and feel just by changing the strap. When I first received my Breitling the strap was just too tight so I took it off and put it on a NATO to wear until I worked out how to add the extra links. I also tried it on leather. Each look was different but good. I was not a fan of NATO straps but having read so many positive posts about them in other forums I gave them a try and find them surprisingly comfortable. I often wonder if it was not for the fact that the Rolex was on a NATO in a James Bond film would so many Rolex owners put their watch on a NATO?

Need bigger pictures. :geek:

After some hesitation I decided to get the black calfskin for my EM to see how it looks. When my dealer first put it on for me it looked strange to me, but I went ahead and bought it and now I absolutely love it! I have been wearing this watch for about a year now, and getting this leather strap makes it feel new again in a way. Whether you like any or all of the combinations, I think this is a great example of the versatility of a watch by changing straps. I change my straps out every couple of weeks and it helps keep the watch feeling fresh and exciting. I hope you enjoy - Best to all!

P.S. - Please understand that my hobbies are watches and drumming - not photography. 8)

Great looking watch in all it's configurations. I also am not a fan of the NATO but as already said, that looks good. The more I see them the more I believe I may have to pick one up. Thanks for the post and photo's.
Best health, Frank
