Two trades in one week!
First, I traded my PAM 000 for a JLC MC Memovox:

And then I traded my DeepSea for a IWC Portugese Automatic:

The knob on the left side controls the interior timing ring, like a dive watch, you can do low-res timings that way.

The mechanical alarm is pretty handy. I've used it quite a bit already.

Some good trading there although I would personally have kept the deepsea.

Love the IWC, what do you think of the Memovox?

Nice pieces Dan. I actually have been flirting with the idea of picking up the JLC Memovox recently. I don't know a lot about it, but like the look for a mechanical alarm. How well does the alarm work? Loudness? Will it actually wake you up?

Also, I believe they are discontinued. Do you know the last year they were manufactured?
Where are they still available?
Any help appreciated. Thanks.
Terry

I think you have done very well for yourself there.

I would have made both of those trades myself.

Definitely traded up on both pieces, beautiful choices. IMO, the JLC needs a different strap though.

Very nice. I think the PAM 000 for a JLC MC Memovox is a SUPERB move. Absolutely no contest in my mind.

But I'm not sure if I would've traded the DeepSea for a IWC Portugese 7 Day though. Don't get me wrong, the 51011 powered 7 Day Portuguese is an absolutely FANTASTIC watch, but I'd be interested to know what it's timekeeping is like as my 51111 powered BP is CR*P at keeping reasonable time.

Either way, great watches.... just a shame a great watch (the SDDS) had to go though!

I've been doing a thing where I wear a watch for 4-7 days in a row to see how I feel about it. If I'm sad after that time to take it off and put it away, the watch is a keeper. If I can't wait to switch to the next one, it isn't.

I was done with the DSSD after 4 days. Yeah, it's a cool watch, but I couldn't quite bond. Maybe I'll pick up a GMT IIc or a 16660 Seadweller at some point.

Also, my wife never liked the DSSD :D

I don't like the DSSD either...I much prefer the GMT II.
