I secured the purchase of a Navi 01 yesterday! My AD is telling me I should see it in December. I sure hope this is the case, but I'm not going to count on it.

Was this for the normal Navitimer B01 or the Limited Edition Navi B01?? I thought the LE wasnt due out until Feb 2011.

I was told the limited edition B01s will be available in either November or December.

I wish they would make a Navitimer that was somewhat water proof!

I'm referring to the LE Navi 01. I REALLY hope my AD is right . . .

I haven't heard of any specific release date for the non-LE Navi.

That's impossible with the current slide rule mechanics. You would need to have a different mechanism (like the Bentleys) and I guess Breitling feels that it's not necessary on a predominanty aviation watch.

Im sure with the amount Breitlings cost they would come up with something. Its one of their "staple" watches

I'm sure they could come up with something but I bet it's fundamentally change the shape and look of the watch. The Navi is a historic piece which I'm pretty sure no-one would design like that today if they were starting from scratch, but history is what that one is all about. And to be honest you only have to a little more careful with them........ like not dunking them in water!

Got a call from the AD and was informed that my Navi B01 would be in, sometime in November. WOW, thats only a month away! Thinking of getting it on brown leather, because I already have a black 22mm Croc on depoyment. No need to double up on the same color!.

I should sell something to lessen the blow.......(from the wife!) :)

I finally had the opportunity to see and try the beast yesterday evening. Two examples were in last week already but I was away at a wine fair, so I only managed to drop by yesterday.

Even though low numbered examples are mostly destined for export, my local AD had expressly asked for one like these. So, I had the chance to try:

The steel version on black leather no 3/2000 and priced at CHF 8'240

The rose gold version on brown croco strap no 3/200 and priced at CHF 21'500

The steel version is limited to 2'000 pieces but the rose gold to only 200.

All versions are available only with the black dial.

Something that I wasn't able to observe on the pictures posted so far here: the engraving mentioning the limited edition and the number of the watch, also appears, except at the back, on the side of the case. Really cool.

As far as discount goes, and given the demand they have, it will be very limited and mostly a commercial gesture: around 3% for old customers. Especially as low numbered examples are really sought after.

So what was your overall impression of the watch, the display back and dial?

Mine should be in 2-3 weeks. Cant wait to see it.

Especially in the rose gold version, well the Navi is really superb. From all angles.

The dial, even though it is black (and black isn't my favorite color of dial) it really looks great, especially with the croc combo. Pity I could not take any pictures. :(

The DB is also great, almost a pity that it is, well, at the back. It should have been a DF.

I'm hoping I have time passing through Dubai on my way home to visit one of the AD's there to look these over. I want to look at all 3 of the new LE's (Monty, Navi, and Chrono) if possible before I decide. Who knows...they may even have something else that I just can't live without, but I really do want one of those new B01 movements with the DB and I like all 3 of them in the pics :lovesloves: ....of course in the metal could be a different thing. Oh well it will be fun to go visit the Dubai AD at any rate  ....and if he doesn't give me a good deal then I'll shop elsewhere. :nana:
