I have been drooling about owning a Breitling for some time now and recently acquired my first. Pre-owned Superocean with the blue dial. All I an say is WOW. Love this time piece. What I love most:

1) the crystal almost disappears with anti-reflective coating. can't get over how incredible that looks. it's as if are looking directly into the dial.

2) the craftsmanship is unbelievable. this is a hefty watch even though it's only 42 mm. Love this model and it suits me perfectly.

3) the blue dial is stunning. i was stuggling with which dial color to go with and the breitling blue is just beautiful.

All in all I'm loving this watch and am a proud member of the breitling club..

Congrats! I started with a SO and now have three Breitlings and would love to add another. You are so right about how the SO wears and at only 42mm has so much wrist presence! Enjoy the watch and be careful or you will have a few more in no time! :lingsrock:

Welcome to the club! It was the SuperOcean that got me into Breitling. Stunning watch. Love the blue dial!

Welcome to the site. I have a Superocean with a black dial. :)

I was out drinking with a friend one time, on a patio to a bar, and it was still fairly bright out. He reaches over suddenly and touches my watch. So that was a little weird, and I asked him what he was doing. He said, "It looked like your glass had fallen out, like it wasn't there." :D

Welcome! The Superocean is a great choice!
It was the only watch that I wore for over 10 years, having got it in 1997. It never let me down, and I never even had it serviced until 2007. Then I traded it,which is something I really regret now.
Enjoy it!
Cheers,
Carl

Big congrats! My first Breitling was 42, then I decided it was too small (Chrono Superocean), now I'm back to that same range - 42-43 as the perfect size. Enjoy it.
