Does anyone have watches of this brand?

How does the brand rate when compared to Tag,Breitling,Omega?
Seems there is little talk about B&M on the net

I have yet to own a B&Mp but have read a bit about them and really like the classima line. I think the brand offers a really nice alternative to some of the more expensive dress watches.

I'm afraid I know little about Baume and Mercier.

However, I do like the looks of that watch you have highlighted.

If I was being ruthlessly honest, which I'm sure you would want me to be, it does seem a little overpriced at the $4600 MRRP. $3000 seems reasonable though. Brings it in line with the Longines you said you liked from the other post here.

That Longines is almost identican to the B&M watch i posted here.... :superman:

I am a big fan of the 8869 which retails for $4000, and agree that a $3000 tag might be more in line with the product

I used to own a Baume Mercier Capeland S. The watch was nice , and heavy and kept great time. The bad thing about Baume is they don't have a great resale value when going to sell them. The classima is extremely nice you are looking at, I've not seen it in person but I can vouch for them making quality pieces.

I would say Breitling is a step above , but the Baume is no slouch, you just jogged my memory on how much I liked my old Baume, so much so I may buy another one. The resale on these are awful, and just make no sense to be this bad.

Yeah, that really puzzles me a lot.
B&M was founded in 1830, they were at top of the game in 60 & 70...
So they are not a new name....
What happened after that ?

A bad call on their part, altough, probably very lucrative during the 1980-1990.
