Congrats on the new piece. Your collection makes my knees weaker and weaker as the weeks go by.

Can I room with Rick Sanchez? I understand he may be in need of some help. Perhaps the joint Tiger went to - it's but 25 miles from my home.

Better yet, Rick can get Tiger's sex addiction, Tiger gets my watches, and I get Elin. It's the perfect solution. I'm in!

ashahahahahahahahahahahahahhaha....too funny. really you would trade the watches for Elin??

A gorgeous Scandanavian model with quite a few million and a mean 7 Iron? Yes, I think I would.

 As the thread title says, why not?

sharkman, you are a genius. I've heard Orlando Bloom is a watch nut, so something similar suggests itself to me automatically.

I was about to throw out the AD bag this AM when I noticed a small box. The AD threw in this rather bizarre key chain. I emailed him and asked what he expected me to do with this thing? He chuckled.

Who comes up with this stuff??

Sharky,
You are a beast!

I have a PAM 88 GMT and absolutely love it! Enjoy this one.

Let me know next week when you decide to sell it!

If I had to own a Panerai, I think it would be the 320 . . . only with a black strap. I was very enamored with the 233 until I saw it in person and the awful "bubble" crystal it has. The 320 or 321 are definitely it for me in Panerai's lineup. Nice addition to the recently downsized collection.

Congrats on the PAM - I absolutely love that brown strap and the 320 is one of my favorite models. IMO, PAM straps are some of the most beautiful and they do an amazing job at accentuating their watches.

I just picked up my PAM359 and am trying to convince myself that I do not have to get a 320 or 321.

As my grandmother would say, wear it in good health :D

WTF indeed Mr Shark.

You keep killing me with these latest additions to your awesome collection.

I don't know how you have the time (sic) to rotate all of these. It must be a great problem to have in deciding which one to wear. Or maybe you are not really Sharkman but, in fact, Octopusman and you have 8 wrists.

I would take Shark's "downsized" collection over the previous version in a second. In fact, I can't wait for him to tire of the new watches so I can add them to my collection!!

Yeah I don't think of it as downsizing, rather upgrading. Reasonable people could disagree on a watch by watch basis whether that's accurate ("You're selling the Rolex GMT???" ,for instance, was something I heard a few times.) But overall IMHO the quality of the collection improved vastly. 4 more in-house movements were added while a couple - Elite based Zenith, Rolex were deleted.

In the end I got a collection instead of what I viewed more an amalgamation of nice watches. Fewer watches, better quality. Better scope, breadth, and much more diversity. It simply makes sense to me now. Breitling still leads the way at 6 pieces, but added were Panerai, IWC, and Breguet. JLC came close to the cut list, but nothing at my price point really did it for me (and in that I recognize being in the distinct minority). Indeed the Panerai and a couple JLCs were in the running, but the PAM320 gave me a watch so unlike the rest and the 2 JLCs didn't, though they were lovely.

Sorry fellas, I'm very content with the lineup now and don't see that changing anytime soon.

You beat me to it sharkman, I was about to write much the same thing. I would agree that your watch collection has evolved. I've seen the same thing with other members here but genreally overe a longer period of time. You've gone from bulk to refinement in a rather short space, it's certainly been fun watching and experiencing the madness; living it vicariously though you of course.

I can't believe you bought a PAM  but congratulations, it certainly does add another element to your collection. Your current collection is really impressive at the moment I think. You just need to add a JLC, ROO Safari and then you'll be into the Patek's and A. Lange and Sohn's.

Brilliant stuff!
