I was noticing that my watch is making noises when I move my wrists

I have been shaking my super avenger and I keep hearing noises, like something is loose.
I have not dropped it or done anything to it, matter of fact I have worn it 5 times.

It is definatly not the bracelet because i have my hand on it when i am moving it

The watch has NOT stopped working, all dials work fine.
sometimes i hear rattling, sometimes it sounds like grinding depending on if i shake it on my wrist fast.

Is this normal? whats the deal with the noises in the watch.

does a rotor sound like gears? It could be the rotor, but does the rotor make noise?

Ok, I just shut everything off in the room.

I shook it, and it is the rotor, but it sounds like its loose. I never heard the rotor before. is it supposed to make this much noise??

rotors can be noisy with this movement, there are bearing in there and its just spinning away and might be what you are hearing! ive got a chrono avenger and you can hear the rotor turn but the watch keeps spot on time! If you bought it new take it by the AD for a listen but i'm sure all is well!

+1, not only can you hear it but you can also feel the rotor turn. AKA the wobble!

yeah, i did buy it new, actually bought it from george at govbergs. awesome guy.

I guess when i got I was so scared to harm it so I was babying it alot......but NOW... I wanted to put its name
SUPER AVENGER, to the test and see if I heard anything or what.

In a room with like a tv, ac, computer on, you DONT HEAR THE WATCH UNLESS YOU SHAKE IT VIGORISLY.
but when its quiet as a mouse, I CAN HEAR A little rattling, very minor, DEFINATLY THE ROTOR SPINNING, and I thought I heard a gear GRIND, but maybe that was the rotor...

So you are supposed to hear the rotor? its not completley quiet?? like when the hands move, its quiet, you dont hear a TICK, TOCK, TICK TOCK, but you are supposed to hear the rotor??

constant humming??? I have never felt anytime of humming on my wrist. I heard what sounded like a gear grinding for about a second. but no humming or vibrating. But then again, I have had the watch a week

Take the watch off and hit the case side into the palm of your hand and you can hear and feel the rotor moving!

It's normal - there is nothing wrong with your watch. The rotor noise that you are hearing is because it only winds in one direction so there is less resistance in the other direction. Add to that a well lubricated, low friction movement and the rotor is going crazy when you shake it.

The ticking is much quieter because it's a much smaller movement on a much lighter series of parts.

I wonder why most people think there's a problem with valjoux when they feel the rotor vibration. Don't they know the automatics have a rotor?
I think it's beautiful, and the valjoux 7750 was my first automatic. When I bought the Hamilton with an ETA mov, I thought there was a problem cause I couldn't see (it's a Skeleton) spinning like my skyland with a vj7750.
That's why I love all VJ mov. 775x, It's ALIVE!
