Could someone please help alleviate my worries? I have never owned a nice watch before and I am new to this website.
I bought my wife this watch for our 3 year anniversary. She really likes it but we went to Torneau to look at other watches and they said our Breitling was a fake (while trying to sell us one of their "certified" watches) because they said the numbers looked glued on...
Royal Maui Jewlers next door said it was fake at first inspection because of the "glare" off the face, but then they looked at it with a loupe and said it might be real but that the glass might be fake...?
I tried taking new pictures to post but honestly the ones from the auction turned out better than anthing I could do :?

Here is a link to the auction.

Thank you in advance.

100 % genuine. Dates from around 1998-9.

I'm glad that your watch turned out to be real. As far as Tourneau goes, I was in there wearing my Blackbird and the lady told me "Nice Chronomat", apparently they don't need to know what they're talking about to sell a watch.

Thank you so much for the quick replies. I am so relieved! Kathy (my wife) is probably still sleeping but I know this forum will be the first thing she checks when she wakes up. She was very upset last night. Not because having a replica would make the watch any "uglier" or anything, but because she felt taken advantage of.
Thank you all again!

Thank god there's no Tourneau in the UK! This certainly isn't the first time where their staff have proven themselves to be complete devoid of any kind of knowledge at all.

It sounds like the only AD in the world where one of the prerequisites for all employees is knowing absolutely jack s**t about watches!
