I went to order a DPII strap on deployment today, and when I asked the lady serving me to order me
the polished clasp to match the polished case of the SA she said that there was only one in steel and that the other option was titanium.

I read somewhere that there was a brushed and a polished version of the deployment clasp, or have I read wrong? maybe they have changed things in 2010?

Can anyone confirm if there is only one or two versions?

She is wrong. There is a bushed steel version and a polished steel version. There is no titanium version.

I thought so, but when I mentioned that I wanted the polished one she pointed to the picture and said there was only one version in steel and one in titanium.
Is there a product number or anything so I can call her up and make sure she orders the correct one?
Also, are they both the same price?

What is it with sales adivsors who know nothing about the watches they are selling?
Initially when I went to order the strap I was quoted £70, I had to ask her to double check because it sounded too cheap for a deployment buckle. After 5 minutes of looking through the list she realised that she had quoted me on tang and buckle.

It's kinda like buying a car. I don't know how many car dealerships I've been to where the dude knew less about the car he was selling than I did.

When the lady was serving me she told me that polished is only available in the leather and croc style deployment but there's only one available for rubber strap.

Alan M are you saying that there is only one version of the clasp then?

Does anyone know if there is a product code for the polished DPII clasp at all?

Update:
I just called and spoke to someone at BUK and asked them to confirm the situation on the deployment clasp and the lady did confirm that there was only one finish and that the clasp only comes in polished finished.

Now from Alan M post this is clearly not true so what is she on about? Have they discontinued the brushed version or something? Not that I'm complaining because I actually want the polished one.

lately I've only seen seen the polished version on watches in the dealers, so I wonder if they have discontinued the brushed version.

Worth calling Andrew Michaels (banner at top) and speaking to Sam. See if they have current or old stock depending on availability

For the DPII there is polished and brushed ss (and Black steel if you are into the kinky stuff).
For leather there is certainly polished, I have as the pic shows a brushed however it is the only one I have ever seen.
Let's be detailed about leather deployant clasp or DPII rubber deployant clasp.

Bear in mind that some 'products' are available in certain locates and not in others.

OP what are you specifically looking for?

I've ordered a DPII clasp and want the polished version.
The lady said there was only one finish available and I just wanted to confirm that on here.
Obviously you guys have proved that there are in fact two finishes, brushed and polished.

But called BUK and they said only polished is available so the question is, have they discontinued the brushed?

As I said there may only be the polished available in the UK.

There was a blacksteel clasp in the Sales section that didn't sell. Seller states withdrawn, but may be worth asking - viewtopic.php?f=3&t=22338
