Absolutely beautiful Otto. Many Congratulations.

And that is not a shallow generic statement.

I owned one of these and I loved it. I do miss it a lot and will add another Panerai to my collection in the future.

Gents,

I thought you might like to see what the 312 looks like on a couple of Herioc18 straps I bought for mine.

The staps are nicely finished and are very reasonably priced. I always thought teh buckle was a little too big against my 6.5" wrist though.

I still have them tucked away, waiting for my next Panerai

They look great, ricardo, thanks for posting.

I agree about the buckles, I have a couple of Manifatture Firenze straps that have big flat buckles like that and they tend to stick out from the wrist.

Hey Ricardo, I really like your taste in watches, and I really enjoy reading your reviews...... BUT...... pleeeeeease put that 312 back on an OEM strap!

I just can't help thinking that all these aftermarket straps that every Panerai owner seems go in for, just ruin the look of otherwise truly fantastic watches. Sorry guys, because I know loads of you are fans of having half an inch thickness of leather on the underside of your wrist, but it's just not for me AT ALL. Just my opinion. :)

(Gorgeous watch though!)

No need to apologise Mr Driver. The world woudl be very boring if we were all the same.

I also like your taste in watches and I respect your opinion.

The thick straps do take a little getting used to, both aesthetically and how they feel on the wrist. To be honest if I knew the buckles were bigger than some of the ones on my belts I may not have gone for these.

The whole strap accesorising does seem to be a predominantly Paneristi pass time. I suppose that is why Panerai created their quick change strap system.

Just for you mate. Here's a picture of my ex-312 on the OEM straps.

OEM rubber - not bad at all. I don't mind rubber on PAMs.

OEM croco - now we're talking! :D IMO that just lifts the watch to a whole new level. So classy. Love it!

Shame you sold it Ricardo. :(

That OEM croc is rubbish compared to the stunning pieces from Simona, Micah and of course ABP.
