Does Breitling offer their straps )calf or crocco) in non-contrasting white stitching? I definitely think it works for certain options but others I think may look better with matching stitching.

If not is this something you could dye out without causing too much harm?

I don't recall any of the Breitling straps without the white constrast stitiching.
Just a few minutes ago, I was on this website. A very well thought of fellow who makes straps. There are even some that he recommends specifically for Breitling, although the pics are with the constrast stitiching. I am sure that he would do them with matching stitching, or without stitching at all as another option.

Just got a Steelfish today, with a Breitling brown leather strap. In this case, the constrast stitching works really well. They must have changed their straps fairly recently, as I find this one has less of a taper than previously and it looks really a lot better with the larger, heavier watches.
The guy at gunnystraps can make with or without taper as well. I was all excited about ordering one from him to make a change. However, I am so impressed with this new Breitling strap, that I can't find anything I like better!

I have seen posts the odd time, where the stitching is dyed. I guess if you're careful?

Cheers,
Carl

The other option is your local "leather-smith" can re-stitch a strap quite simply. It's not a complicated process at all.

Hi Thomas,

I had this one custom made for the BB+ by ABP in Paris;

Every time you post this watch I die a little inside. I really like the way that UTC looks with your BB. Is the watch polished? you should work on the UTC with a Cape Cod for about a week then that'll match the watch.

Roman, you could not believe the amount of trouble I had to go through to get the UTC/Bracelet brushed to match the ......Brushed watch head of my BB.

Polished BB, no thanks ;_)

Ah, from that other pic it looked polished, maybe I'm just going blind. And hey, don't knock the polished BB too bad, I love mine, though with the polished BB bracelet I thought it was just a bit too shiny 8) for everyday use. I love the brushed one as well, if I could only have a good reason to give my wife for having both :?

Watcha, the polished is fine, it's a great watch I just personally prefer the brushed. (red/yellow accents....getawaywitya).

I really like sharkman's idea of getting a local leather worker to re-stitch the OEM strap.

But that ABP custom and the recent stone creek rally thread make me think I do need to find an excuse for a custom strap as well. Good suggestions on all fronts.

Every OEM Breitling strap has white stitching and they consider that to be part of their brand image - I know for a fact that they have declined to do different colours on custom orders. It doesn't make much sense to me, but there you go.

I'm going to be a bit off brand here (sorry). The OEM Breitling Straps are wonderful!

After my custom APB I will never by another OEM Breitling strap.
