Hi All!

Popular watches I dislike – All Rolexes with the exception of the Explore I, Submariner - Date, Milgaus (Green Glass), GMT, Deepsea, and Daytona with the “El Primero Movement” in stainless steel only. I would like to have a Submariner and either the Milgaus or the Explore I – I really like the Expore I but just like the Breitling Croc Strap (see other post) I refuse to pay the price!

All Cartier’s with the exception of the classic American Tank Watch in either Yellow or White Gold incidentally homage to the American Expedition Forces during the Great War. Would love to have one it’s just an iconoclastic piece!

All Panerai’s with the exception of the - Historic Luminor 1950-8 Days GMT, Historic Radiomir 8 Days and the Contemporary Luminor Marina 1950-3 Day Automatic. Yet I am not dying to have one of these either!

Also I will not buy anything regardless of aesthetics or price from Cuervo y Sobrinos they are in bed with Fidel!

Ulysse Nardin – Maxi – Marine // Sorry but they do nothing for me – they kinda ugly to be honest!

Same thing goes for the Graham watches!

In addition I really do not like the Bentley series either – I kinda feel that Breitling sold out to the urban culture trying to tap into drug money very much like Tommy Hilfiger did in the mid 1990’s. I can name more watches I dislike but many have been stated by other members so why be redundant and to be honest it’s your money, if you love it who am I to tell you otherwise!

Now Enough Of This Crap & Let Me Tell You What I Really, Really Like and I Surprised My Self Due To The Fact That It Does Not Have A Date Function:

A Glashuttee Original Navigator Series Chronograph - I Know A Poor Man’s Version Of A. Lange & Sohne.

Well There You Go – Just Some Ramblings & Hope That No One’s Feelings Where Hurt – Just Take Solace In Knowing That I Never Intentionally Attempted To Do That!

Best Regards,

Enezdez

By reading this thread, I realized two things:

One, what a great forum this is

Two, that I'm like most of you guys

So, here are my "choices": Blancpain, Tag, Panerai and of course fighting for the top spot: Rolex and Hublot

I guess I took the question as a bit more specific than entire brands. i like Palantas, see most watches that aren't for me and don't think twice about them.

As for watches I really dislike..I would have to say AP ROO (even though I really like how hornback straps go so well)

DOXA too; I think they're neat, but I would never get one.

Thought of another: Rolex Datejust with Arabic numerals.

Well well well, how did I miss this thread? Good thing I was searching for Hublot on the forum!

My collection is bound to have one watch that you really like, and at least one watch that you really dislike. The curse of having such varied tastes!

Personally, the only brands I seriously dislike are fashion brands like Jacob and Co, Chanel, Dunhill, etc etc that have nothing to do with horology and are more of man-jewelery.

I dont like most Rolexs. They are either small and/or the bracelets taper too much and are so light weight that they feel cheap. The exception might be a GMT IIc and the green Milgauss.

Dont like AP ROO at all. I have stared at Altair's and others posted pictures, but nothing about the styling appeals to me.

Graham.... evey model. HATE THEM.

Corum bubbles, looks like a modern version of that old Rolex Seadweller that had the giant domed crystal. To me they just look stupid.

Patek Nautilus.... yuck! I cant believe that a watch maker such as Patek, cant make a nice looking diver!

Most Omega's. The exception might be a display back moon watch.....maybe

Any watch that has a particular logo on the dial, such as the Ferrai Panerai's and ALL of the Breitling models with the specialty logos on the dial. Sorry but if I'm not a member of the Blue Angels, I dont want to wear thier watch!

Earnest Benz - the hands are just hideous

Tag - most models

dang we're a picky bunch! :)

Bell & Ross just don't do it for me. I don't feel like there is much artistry to making a square case with different color schemes.
