Just purchased a Breilting SuperOcean steelfish. The one thing i noticed is that the bezel is bi-directional?
The person at Tourneau told me that it is not a unidirectional traditional bezel but was Breitlings new design, which is bidirectional.

Has anybody ever seen this before?

That's news to me. I'm more inclined to think the bezel needs adjusting/fixing.

The reason a ratcheted, uni-directional bezel is used on a diver's watch is so you don't run short of air by the bezel moving. To use a bi-directional one sounds crazy.

:huh A bidirectional bezel on a diver's watch would make zero sense at all, and would be potentially pretty dangerous if you actually used it for dive-time measurement as Sharky said. Me-thinks that Tourneau person doesn't know a damn thing about watches.... or probably anything else for that matter.

The person at the Tourneau shouldn't sell watches.

The Steelfish should have a uni-directional bezel. You will probably find the click spring under the bezel is missing or damaged.
