Thanks for all the comments. I think 4 is more than enough for the moment, when I bought the AS a couple of years ago I dithered for ages wondering if I was nuts spending £2500 on a watch but I did it and I don't regret it and it's grown from there. I look around me, watch the news and read the papers and quite often think how lucky I am just to be able to afford to spend that kind of money on 'a watch'!! My friends know I have 2 expensive watches(not that I've told them costs but they are not stupid) but I've kept the last 2 to myself because sometimes I feel embarrased about how much I've spent. I know £12000 or so is not much in terms of luxury watches etc but where I come from some people would look down their noses at me for it!!

So, I think the Legende will be the last watch for me for a while :( but who knows, I may have another good business year and I'll do it all over again! :D

Cheers

Don't ever let people bother you about how you spend your hard earned money. If they are going to judge you maybe is because they would like to be able to afford it too, but they can't.

You deserve what you got and have worked hard to be successful in what you do. People's opinions in that regard are secondary.

Just my $0.02

I like your two cents. Someone can only judge you on how much you spend on your hobbies if they know what makes you happy better than you do. This is unlikely.

On the one hand I'd say sod what anyone else thinks and don't hide your watches from people, but on the other hand I like the way you are obviously buying them for you and you alone..... which IMO is how it should be. Personally I hate it when people say "what watch has a better image", or "what is considered more impressive", as those people aren't buying for themselves : they're buying for how it will make them look to others.

I honestly dread to think what I've spent on watches over the years, and a load of people that I know don't "get" the whole watch thing, but at the end of the day my watches give me pleasure and thats all that counts in my book. Some people like gambling on horse racing, some like fast cars........., we all like nice watches. It's our interest and our hobby, and life is a much duller experience if we don't have a few things in it that give us pleasure.

So, rejoice in your great collection! You've got 4 really REALLY nice pieces there, and all the time you enjoy them, how can they be wrong?

Thanks Driver and Felipe!

I suppose it's all down to what you enjoy and what gives you the most pleasure. My business partner can't see the attraction but as I said to him who is big into his cycling, I don't see the point in spending 3 grand on a bicycle which he has done. He also has an Audo A4 4WD 3litre or something like that for around 30-35 grand, I told him I could buy 7 or 8 great watches for that!! He wryly smiled knowing I was being serious.

Cheers for the comments everyone, I love all 4 of those watches and I bought them for the way they looked rather than the movements etc they have because I wanted something I liked for myself!

Cheers

Andrew,
Really nice collection there! ( Skyland extremely nice and would look great in my collection.)
I think a Blackbird in brushed S/S would be a superb addition for you. I have just got mine and it is a beautiful watch, or maybe a B01 with the first in house movement?
Anyway enjoy them all.
Neil. :lingsrock:
