Good price on the 3717. That's the one I'd go for.

Fair point, RJ. Hard to go wrong with either at those prices.

Of course I'm going to buy the one I like more but I'm curious as to what you would pick and why?

I'd go with the IWC as well. Classy piece. I have been wanting one for a while, but at the same time, the Code Yellow is pretty bad a...

Code Yellow. Then save up for a Portuguese 7 Day, Portuguese Yacht Club Chrono, or go lower on a Portofino Chrono. And even though the Portuguese is 42mm, it wears much bigger than 42mm. The 3717 wears 42mm.

You KNOW you are going to regret getting the one you have been waiting for and lusting over just because this 3717 showed up at a good price.

If size were not an issue then I would say get the IWC, but how are you going to feel about a 42mm watch in a few months? You know what you are getting with the Code Yellow, and have been wanting it for a few months.

Ask yourself this...was the 3717 on your list before this opportunity came up?

IWC Pilot has been on my list a lot longer than the CY....because the CY was just released.

I don't mind the 42mm size....I have a 40mm and two 42mm Olympus and the size works great for me. I can't decide on which design I like more. I really want an Avenger and the CY is PERFECT. BUT, I also really want an IWC Pilot watch..... and the price is ridiclious for a 3 week old watch purchased from a local AD. I'm struggling with this one.

That really is a pretty good price on the IWC. Out of the two the IWC is the choice I would make.

But good advice on choosing which one you want. A nice position to be in!

Sometimes a man just has to purchase both to satisfy his inner needs...go with that lol. Both are wonderful watches. Hard decision.
