Can't comment on anything else, but that print engraving on the caseback, the script on the inner caseback is inconsistent... :nono:

Come to think of it, the dial looks heavily redone too... :(

Hallo Roff, please explain, what should be garbage on this watch ?

The seller said: "professionally restored dial" , a very corect seller and a very correct description.

This is an absolutely genuine Breitling Datora from 1951 exactly the transition from the old to the new Breitling logo.

Oh please, don't insult the intelligence of the people on this forum.

Ignore the dial (and if that's professional then I would hate to see amateur), look at the rest of the watch.

Movement stamped with Breitling in block text, caseback amateurishly engraved in script.

How many Breitlings were produced with two different types of logo???

Your answer is pretty arrogant. You insult the intelligence of the people on this forum, not me.

90% of all Breitling watches in the 1951/1952 period are engraved the two different logos.

This watch is absoltly genuine,

Here I found the original catalog photos of the 1952 Breitling catalog:http://i-am-spamming!.de/index.php?page=Thread&postID=3640#post3640

absolut identic watch

And also in this catalog Breitling used the two different logos in one page.

Citing that seller's watches is hardly going to increase your credibility.

and here a little different modell all original and unrestored

also with the old script on dial and case, but block letters on the movement.

And this is normal. Breitling didnt produced all parts of the watch in the same day. May be the dial and the case befor the move to Geneve in September 1951, and the movement a little bid after. So its absolut correct, when the watch has the two kinds of script.

here are the true coöors
Image

"Breitling is money, not only Rolex, I love my Breitlings."

"Time is Breitling"

I'll let you even my secret.

In 1984 I bought a Rolex Datora those with moon phase for 1200, - $. Now I sell it for 90000, - $ - I have an offer from Christies.

Because I do not need the money for food, I buy for this money 90 real Breitling Moonphase-Datoras, if I ever in my entire life can find so many. Then my son or my grandson can sell later for each 90000, $ - or more, then make 8 million dollars from 1200, - Dollars

But seriously, I think I will not even find 9 genuine pieces in 10 years. :uplaugh:

Good enough evidence for me. Once again, some will say that I have been too trusting for too long.

Action taken.
