Hi everyone! Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

I just ordered and received (from an AD) a brand new 2010 Breitling Professional Chronospace for my husband as a birthday gift. Trying to be an awesome wife, I thought I'd set the time and wrap the gift before he gets home. I read the manual first and have followed the directions to a "T" to no avail. The watch hands are keeping the time correctly (even though it's showing a different time zone) but the second hand is not moving. And the digital time display is all 0's.

Also, when I try to turn the crown, nothing on the display changes. The manual says I should be able to scroll through the functions turning the crown either clockwise or counterclockwise, but literally nothing changes. The display only reads CHR 00. Am I doing something very obviously wrong? I know I can't set the time until I can scroll to that function on the watch, but it won't scroll.

The backlight works and it is keeping time, so I'd like to think the battery is okay, but that's a guess. I'd call the AD, but they aren't opening for another 6 hours or so and I'm hoping to figure out if it's user error or watch error before I wrap it up.

The watch is currently in chronograph (stopwatch) mode. The seconds hand will only move when you start the chronograph by pressing the top pusher. Press the top pusher again to stop and the bottom pusher to reset.

There's an art in turning the crown which I still haven't really mastered! Try giving it a quick flick by running the side of your finger along it rather than a gentle turn with finger and thumb. That should work. Then follow the instructions how to set time, 2nd time zone etc.

Hope this helps.
