Hi,
I am new to this site...and still figuring out what I want for my first Breitling. I am interested in superoceans but I am still learning the ins and outs....
Why do some superoceans have a second had that is pointed (triangle) while others have a square w/ a point on the end. Maybe someone can explain the difference. Thanks.

Breitling is just changing it up every so often. The Steelfish (I believe) used to have a square second hand but the new ones are triangles. But other models such as the Avenger Skyland still has the square.

I suggest you spend a lot of time at Breitlings site and see the "latest" revisions. Or go to an AD and get yourself a new Chronolog.

Scott

I agree with Scott. The changing winds of design... :)

The SO is a great watch - be sure to go to your AD and try it on first. Nothing beats that...

Breitling decided around the middle of 2007 to convert the SO line to second hands with the arrow.

I was kinda upset about that, as I bought my SO in 2007 and it still has the older square. I must have just missed the new ones, its a great watch, but I love the look of the arrow.
