I recently purchased a U Boat Flightdeck CAB 55. I love the watch and have been wanting it for a while but realized that the movement of the watch seems to be pretty noisy (only meaning that I can hear it from time to time if there is no other background noise around). The back of the watch contains a skeleton feature to see the movements and it seems as though when the balance is in motion (especially when the watch abruptly moves or stops) I can hear the movement. I see that this site has had some reviews of U Boat watches and it sounds like others on the site own U Boats so I am curios to know if anyone else has noticed this? I have a Breitling Bentley Motors T and have never heard the movement so I wasn't sure if the U Boat movement noise was common or not.

Thanks in advance for your insight.

It uses the 7750 movement, which is well-known for being noisy. The noise comes from the rotor spinning.

This might not necessarily affect all 7750 variants, but I've owned 3 (2 Omega and 1 IWC) and it was noticeable on all of them. Nothing to worry about, in fact it's considered a distinct characteristic of the movement.

Thanks for the information, it is very appreciated. With the 7750 movement, is it OK to use the same dual watch winder for the U Boat as my Bentley Motors T, or do I need two separate rotations?

7750 only winds clockwise, while the2892 (motors T) winds in both directions.
