Hi,

i was wondering if Breitling has all the watches they make in the factory in stock or just a couple of everything and if they sell a lot they make more of that type? Maybe they have hundreds of avengers, superoceans, bentleys in stock...
Does anybody knows this?

Breitling SA (Switzerland) produces a certain number of each piece in any given time period based on expected sales (in turn based on distributor orders), plus any special editions / limited editions that Breitling SA decides on or are ordered. They don't tend to keep much stock themselves, rather they ship to the distributors to fulfil orders, who in turn sell on to the ADs based on their orders. Large scale distributors tend to have some stock, but even then customer orders may have to be directed through Switzerland to be completed.
