The Canadian service centre did a fantastic job. This is the first service for this piece. It's 8 years old and at the time it was dropped off for the overhaul, it was running at -15 sec per day. It has seen its fair share of diving over the years and remained water tight the entire time. In fact, it was pressure tested a few months before servicing and passed as if it were new.

Along with the a complete movement overhaul, the gaskets were replaced, new hands were fitted, a new crown and crown tube were fitted and the crystal was replaced as the AR coating was scratched. I asked for the case not to be refinished since it was in outstanding condition. The service was not cheap but well worth it.

It looks fantastic.

May I ask: Why did the service centre replace the hands?

You'd never think that was 8 years old, especially if the case hasn't be refinished. Very nice.

It does indeed look good - I have always been very pleased with Canadian service.

Ricardo, the hands are designed to be single use (friction fit press on) and so are routinely replaced during servicing.

Looks great! I love my CA, just an awesome daily workhorse. I have had similar experiences with BUSA, just outstanding service. Glad you have it back to enjoy for many more years.

Really? That's sweet! Quick question....when you do service a B how are you supposed to send it in? Back in the original box and all or what?

When you send your Breitling in for service, just pad it well in bubble-wrap or whatever, and be sure to include the warranty booklet regardless of the warranty's status. The service will be stamped and documented in the booklet. Then they will send it back in a cool little case. :lingsrock:
