I have been thinking about consolidating the watch collection to a few watches that I love and getting rid of the rest , I currently have two watches that are deffo staying thats a Breitling Superocean Pro and a Omega Seamaster 2255.80 (thats only ever going to be sold if I get the Ti version), I also have a Seamaster 200 thats in the process of going, The other two watches I have are a newly built Seamaster 300 with date and a Seamaster GMT (Great White) .
The thing I would like to do is either straight swap the SM300 and/or the GMT for a B1 SQ or swap them both and get a Tudor Sub or Oyster Prince or add cash for a Rolex Sub. Am I mad or is this just normal what would you do in my position, Id put the value of the SM300 at around £1100 ish and the GMT at £800 ish, Id rather go for three/four really decent watches I love than more watches I just like.

Id also consider a deal involving a Chronomat Evo or a Aerospace but id prefer to keep it under 4 watches in total and Id rather not part with cash to keep the wife happy, Id also consider a SOH 46 as well :lingsrock:

No you are perfectly sane. I've had the same notion - maybe 6 watches. I can get it down to 6 easily. Then it starts jumping up and up. Soon I'm back where I started. I'm the mad one.

Perfectly fine to me. I prefer only a few watches as well.

:yeahthat
Sounds perfectly fine to me also. Like sharkman I think 6 is a pretty good maximum number as, let's face it, you can only wear one (or perhaps two at a time  ).

Downsizing is fine, Sony. I've done it a few times and am just about to again, due to my "in-house plan". :D

The in-house ones will be keepers though, but I feel that due to the cost I'm never going to have more than 10.

I agree, it's too hard to wear so many consistently. I went back to three (just sold one) that I want to wear. If something special I like comes up I can buy it and then see which one just sits.
Three or four wll work for me. :D
