Hey Guys -

General a dial color just pops out at me, however on the Colt Automatic I really like all 3 dial colors on the Colt II (blue, silver, black)....what's your vote?

Thanks

Great question. I just bought a Colt Automatic, about a month ago, and had the same decision.

I thought I would like white the best, but found that it looked washed-out in person. I ended up going with blue. It wasn't nearly as distracting as I originally thought it would be. It varies from very light blue, to almost midnight, depending on lighting. In hindsight, I would have held out to see a black dial. I'm not disappointed with blue, but I might very well have gone with black.

My only advice is to make sure you see them in the metal. Trust me - as bad as you want to pull the trigger and take it home, make sure you get the right one. It's worth the wait.

My wrist comes in just under 7.5". Originally I wanted a Colt Auto black dial, but after seeing how small it looked as black shows smaller, and how much smaller it looked on my wrist, I had no choice but to go white. White looks much better now that I have it on. Pics never do the texture justice.

I vote white if you do not have small wrists.
