I may not stand for much, but I stand for "no Pam." I tried one on at the AD when looking at Bregeut......eh....

But I'll concede like everything else it's a matter of personal preference- there is no objective right or wrong.

And Rolex!? F#*& Rolex. I'll never own a Rolex. Oh yeah.....too late.

I've said it before, but... I was as anti-Panerai as they come, for a while. Then I got one. Right now it's being sold so I can get another one. All the options out there, that's what I'm going for, because the collection doesn't seem right without it being in there.

Seeing one in the metal and trying it on was what changed my mind.

Before that, having seen only pictures, I thought they were a bit bland. But I now I can't for the life of me understand how I could have thought that.

hahaha yeah i know what you mean. i still look at them and think they are very basic. but i guess that is really part of the appeal. another cool thing is the people who know the brand know and appreciate the subtle differences between models. since im such a noob this is something that will take a bit to learn

As a recent Panerai owner and long-time salivator, all I can say is that you cannot fully appreciate it's simplistic, yet sophisticated elegance unless you wear one yourself. Panerai's "move" me - and I would assume most people on these boards understand what that means.

When it comes to music, food, and watches, fine wines, etc., I don't care what moves others...I care about what moves me....and I hope others here subscribe to a similar philosophy...and have large bank accounts....and have understanding wives.... :cheer:

Drtymrtini thats pretty cool you love the brand this much. seems pretty common amongst Pam owners. Seems like quite a cult like following. I do find myself being drawn more to the simplistic look of it. I know sooner or later I will end up owning one. :)
