Does anyone know where you can buy Orbita Sparta Delux watch winders in the UK please?

I certainly don't want to pay full retail as I think that all watch winders are a rip-off of huge proportions, but they're a necessary evil. The only place I've found on-line is "thewatchsource.co.uk" - anyone come across them before or know anything about them?

Their prices aren't overly special, but they still work out cheaper than prestigetime.com (and all other US sites) once I factor in shipping and VAT at this end.

Any help appreciated guys!

I guess that's a no then. :(

OK let me re-phrase - does anyone know anywhere internationally where I can pick up a single Orbita Sparta Delux for less than $380 USD or £295 GBP?

Thanks.

I'll have to see if I can find it, but there used to be a place in Germany that had fairly good prices.

BTW, no experience with Sparta, but I really like Orbita winders.

Thanks Roff.

I've not owned an Orbita myself but I've seen a Sparta running and I like how they work. Quite a natural motion.

Plus they are better quality than what I've been using to date. I'll be buying a Buben & Zorweg in no time! And then again, maybe not.

Cheers Ian, those proved to be pretty useful links.

I'd still like to find a shop (online or otherwise) that will have a ready supply of decently price winders and I will need more than one.

If you are looking for multiple heads have you considered one of the other ranges?

The other ranges tend to use permanently powered heads whereas the Sparta models use the "gravity/pendulum" driven system. Plus I quite like having separate devoted winders. :)
