I bought one myself as well and it runs like a dream. Fantastic knock around watch and MY GOD THE LUME.....WOW. The ice blue lume glows bright all night. My wife thought I had a night light on. For you that are interested Stan who owns Deep Blue has some great deals now and more new ones coming in September on Shopnbc.com. He is trying to get his brand out there and offering some great prices. Really a bargain for the money and you get 3 straps with the watch all in one kit. Fantasic reviews everywhere I have checked about Deep Blue watches.

Yeah it's amazing. You can even see the lume in the lower bezel #s on your first pic and that's hardly a shadow!

I'm quite convinced my galloping movement is an aberation - something that can happen even with great quality control - and not atall indicative of an issue with Deep Blue.

I too read nothing but glowing reviews. I was not disappointed when I saw the watch. Great value.

Nice watch you have there Rick. The only reasons I went for the GMT were to get a watch with a 22/22 bracelet and some yellow touches. My #2 choice was the one you have with the orange hands.

Mine runs about 4+ seconds a day which is very good.
They have some new models coming out in September with T100 tubes that are going to be very nice.

Seems like a lot of watch for the $$. What made you decide on this model over the other ones offered from Deep Blue?

I considered the 500, but there were so many glowing reviews of the 2000 that I went for it once I learned the lug to lug length was 53mm - essentially same as Steelfish, Skyracer, Seawolf, Benarus World Diver. I actually like this watch better on the rubber strap, though the bracelet is very adjustable and comfortable. (I do think I might like the bracelet on the non-gmt better now that I've had it a couple days).

I got the GMT because the yellow rehaut(??) numbers and yellow GMT hand we attractive to me. And then there were more numerals to be lumed on the bezel. I'm a sucker for lume.

Sadly it's still galloping away at 2+minutes/day so it will be making what I expect to be a short trip back to NYC. From all the other owner's comments on this and other forums it is clear my situation is very atypical - they usually run within a few seconds/day out of the box. This could happen with any brand and in fact we've seen it here with new Breitlings. If that is going to ruin your day, it's time to buy quartz. Thank God I have one or two other watches to wear in the meantime.
