Due to a death in the family i have the opportunity to buy my next timepiece to keep in memory of my nan, there are two watches which i have been considering for a while and wondered what you guys think i should do?

My friend has a SA white face on a red rubber strap which looks good plus i could hopefully buy different colours to suit my mood, but now i have seen the new Superocean II which i love in yellow again on the rubber strap and cannot decide between the two........ i own a Navitimer cosmonaught on bracelet or black calf which i believe is a smart watch and am now looking for a casual watch.....

Any opinions?!?!......

In my opinion the SA with Baton markers is much different then the Superocean II. I guess you could say the Superocean II is more sporty compared to a SA with Baton markers. So different I would say it's hard to even compare them either/or.

TBH they're two completely different watches. The SA is big and has great wrist presence if thats what your after. It looks very 'glitzy' on the Pro 2 bracelet but you can tone it down on an OR. Great watch and I wouldn't be without mine. Not sure if anyone has both here yet but if they do I'm sure they'll chime in!

Cheers

I have owned the SA, both regular steel and Blacksteel and it's huge. If you have the wrists to carry it off then it's a fine looking watch but if not they can look ridiculous so for that reason I would chose the Superocean II.

Hugely different looks as has been noted. The SO II is going to wear similar to your Cosmonaute, the SA really needs to be tried on - it's so different from what you are wearing now that you need to make sure that it works for you.

Sorry about your Nan.

This is kinda like saying, "I'm stuck between a Pickup Truck and a Mini Cooper".....Two completely different watches which should make for a very easy decision.
