What makes Breitling for Bentley models special for you?

Price wise they cost more that most other Breitling models, movements are variations of ETA engines.

What makes these watches special for you?

WELL, I LIKE THE LOOKS, A LITTLE MORE DETAIL, THE SMALL TINGS, THE AUTOMOTIVE SUGGESTIONS AS OPPOSED TO PLANES AND SUCH, THE BIGGER SIZES. I JUST LIKE EM.
I LIKE THE FACT THE BENTLEY GMT IS ITS OWN MOVEMENT ONLY IN THAT MODEL, AND MY GMT WILL NEVER BE CONFUSED WITH ANY OTHER WATCH

I think the Bentley line is just a bit classier than the regular Breitling line. A little less sporty if you will. However, you still get the large size and those beautiful slanted bracelet links if you buy your watch on a Bracelet, so you can still tell its a Breitling.

For me it's no different to why I would buy a navitimer over a windrider, or a windrider over an aeromarine (and I have them all), it's just a question of finding a combination of looks, movement and value that works for me. Bentleys are more expensive than other ranges, but so what - they are different designs. Windriders are more expensive than aeromarines, but again - so what, they are different designs too.

As long as the overall package offers what I consider to be value then I'm not concerned about whether it is more expensive or cheaper than another watch. The Bentley connection means nothing to me, and I'm not sure that it has much meaning these days.

Bentleys are like sporty navitimers. Awesome.

I like the styling, for reasons RJRJRJ has expressed well. I wouldn't buy one though, I really don't like the brand tie-in.

I second that. Bentley's don't do anything for me. It really comes down to personal taste, though. Lord knows there are plenty of people on here who will tell me my B01 looks like a pile of garbage.

+ 1 more, the B4B range does nothing for me either. The problem for me is that as they are probably the most faked range of Breitlings there is absolutely no appeal, same as Rolex for me I'm afraid.

+1

Same with Ferrari Panerai. Somehow makes me feel a bit of a wannabe if I don't own the car... Of course that's just me!

I must be honest (and this comes from someone who currently owns two and has owned 3 Bentleys in the past), but I've gone off both the image and the style of the Bentley range a bit over the last few months. I'm finding myself drawn to far less "in-your-face" pieces and while I think the Bentley tie-in works a hell of a lot more than the Panerai/Ferrari tie-in, I've gone off the style quite a bit. They're just a bit too much for me these days.

I still think they are great watches (which they are), but as others have said, they're faked in huge numbers that are then worn by "bling-bling wannabes", which is a great shame. As a result (and this isn't Breitling's fault at all) I think they've lost a lot of the class they once had.

The odd thing is, my favourite Bentley now is the Flying B Chronograph (which I've never owned!) and I think the reason for that is because it doesn't look like the typical Bentley models.

Driver - you're getting old! :D

Well, for me - I like them mainly for their size, design and that they are just a little bit finer to detail than the regular range. Sure, it's still a version of a somewhat generic movement and the pricetag maybe isn't realistic but as they fit me I'm not overly concerned.

Association with Bentley cars is one aspect which I never felt comfortable with. They represent group of watches - B for Bentley, Porshe Design, GP for Ferrari, Panerai Ferrari, etc. - which imply that you own particular vehicle.

I find this association a bit pretentious.
