I just purchased a Superocean Steelfish two weeks ago and went with the silver/white dial on the professional bracelet. Like you, I gave serious thought to the black dial, but I couldn't be happier with the silver/white dial. I've owned several nice Swiss watches, and quite honestly, it's one of the best looking watches I've ever seen. I have absolutely NO regrets with my dial choice, as I've found it looks great in any setting or no matter how you're dressed. It also looks great in daylight or total darkness. I wholeheartedly recommend the silver/white dial!

This entire thread inexorably leads to two immutable truths -

(1) when it comes to watches, rules are suggestions at best - you get the model and color that works for you, and
(2) the Steelfish remains the best friggin' watch for the dollar, pound, euro...out there.

Thanks for all the opinions. I ended up with the silver/white dial with a pro bracelet. I couldn't be happier. I've been wearing it all day and it wears great. Didn't even give any of the other watches a second look.

Thanks again.

That's great to hear...it sounds like your decision was pretty easy once you saw it in person. Enjoy the new watch (and consider getting a brown calf or croco to go with it...you will be amazed at the change). :lingsrock:

Congrats! The longer you wear it, the more you'll love it. I'm thrilled with mine.
