I love multi watch days - congrats sharkman.

Overloading yourself with a lot of purchases take away from the satisfaction the individual pieces give you though . Ie , if sharkman got all those watches within 1 month from each other , then the overall satisfaction would last longer .

p.s. Hope my english makes sense . :D

Yes the english makes sense and to a degree the logic, but there are exceptions. A gorgeous blonde tonight, a brunette a week from tonight, and a red head 2 weeks from tonight would be very satisfying. BUT, a gorgeous blonde, brunette, and red head all at the same time tonight - priceless..................... :wowzers

I just don't find that to be the case. The same logic suggests that you don't get the same thrill for the 5th / 10th / whatever piece as you do for the first, and I simply don't find that to be the case.

I don't go out of my way to gorge on watches in the space of a short period, but if the watches come up together then I'm not going to pass them up.

No P.O. until next weekend.............

The skyracer looks great Tom. It's always been one of my favourites but I find it a little big :(

How does the Mark II look on a brown strap in the flesh so to speak? I have a brown strap that I'm going to try on the LE II at some stage but thought I'd ask. How's the contrast with the black and red?

Tim,

I think a dark brown textured strap looks great. I did try a Breitling brown calf and didn't like the look at all. I ordered a very simple smooth black calf with red contrast stitching from vintagerstraps.com that I'm hoping will ne "just right." Should get it in a couple weeks.

Have you tried the Skyracer on? It has a fairly shallow caseback and curved lugs. Doesn't sit that large at all.

Not really suggesting that . If there are big time period between each time period , it would still be all good.Otherwise , we would not purchase anything past the first 1-3 watches.

Definitely . I am not suggesting you to turn down an awesome offer , so just you dont make more than 1 purchase during the same time period . What I am saying is that if there was not for this hypothetical super special awesome offer , buying 1 now and the next when the thrill from the first goes down , would be the ideal case for me.
