Do they have any inline AD's. I dont see a spot on their website to order??? I wont buy from a grey market because you dont get a warranty and as most can agree a warranty can def come in handy when it comes to watch winders.

If you are speaking of the Eilux, my local jeweler ordered it for me. Mine holds three watches and has a little tray to hold watch bands, etc. Like I previously said, it runs 12 minutes every 2 hours I believe. You can adjust it to operate both directions or a single direction.

Is it just me, or do people "overthink" the watch winders...especially for high end pieces.

I mean, if I drop a few thousand dollars on a watch - shouldn't I just be able to wind it up once a month to keep the parts moving and have it last a lifetime?

I just got a new Panerai - and I own a BlackBird. I won't wear the Panerai as much as the Breitling - but I'm not worried about winding up my Panerai once a week (Breitling is my M-F watch and the Panerai is my weekend watch, date night watch with the wife, and special occasion watch.)

I want a new superocean to be my vacation watch and I'm not worried about winding it up once a month manually and wearing it once every few months.

I don't want to take away from suggestions, but seriously - don't people overthink this?

Well it's certainly a topic that seems to have a lot of questions - look at this, three pages and it's all been said before.

I personally would rather have my watches running so that I can just strap one on that appeals - when I am headed to work I can just grab one and go without having to set it - especially if it is perpetual / semi-perpetual or doesn't have a quick set date.

That said, I have a number of manual winds that I wind daily, and I don't always have enough winder slots for my automatics so wind some of them too - it's about 30 seconds or so per watch so no big deal.

Damn Roff now you got me thinking I need a new winder.

More expensive winders like the Rapport I use right now , have that option of 1 minute on /1 minute off , so I guess it is not  THAT harmful .

Rapport isn't really high end.

Orbita cycles generally have 22 to 42 minute rest periods (depending on the number of rotations).

More expensive is not meant to say the most expensive or high end . Just what it is , more expensive than the one GZGym1 mentioned earlier .

Having to set a perpetual calendar etc , every time you wear it is not exactly desired though . Ofcourse I agree , that winding a watch with few complications only is not a problem .

Sorry, didn't mean to imply that - I simply meant that the program that Rapport used wouldn't be the type of thing that the higher end manufacturers would use - I stated it badly.

That was my point - that's why I keep mine running.
