Hi guys,

Just posting for a second opinion really.

For several years I've had a Chronomat (A13352) black face, all steel, with bracelet, which I've worn every day and loved.

However, I'm now coveting something different, the Navitimer Montbrilliant Datora, steel case, silver dial, deployment camel coloured croc strap.

I love the understatement of the silver face against the steel case which contrasts really well with the camel coloured strap. I think it looks super smart. I plan to wear this in the same way, all the time every day.

Just looking for some "great decision" type comments :) before I bite the bullet!

Cheers.

If you like it and can afford it then go for it. Are you gonna keep the Chronomat as well?

No can do I'm afraid - I'm part exchanging it for the Datora.

They are two very different watches. As an 'only' watch the chronomat will be more practical, but if you want something different and the lack of water resistance isn't an issue then the Datora is a great looking watch with an uncommon look.

As Roff said take in to consideration the water resistancy factor.

Good point - I didn't realise that the watch is basically only splash proof.

Always a tough one to square when someone asks - how can you pay that for a watch and not even wear it swimming!

Go for it, its a great piece.

And the splash proof rating applies to all Navis, get a cheap casio G shock to go swimming with.

This is exactly what I was going to write. I don't take any of my Breitlings in the water - only my Casios.

Anyway, I bought the silver Datora about four years ago, and still love it.
