I ran across this watch recently and am considering buying it. http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t= ... 7113&rid=0 The problem is, I've never heard of this model, and would like to know if it is the real deal or a replica. Thoughts?

Thanks,
Grant

It's real, just a one off limited edition but they come up every couple of months or so.

Same as current Steelfish, but 2 mm smaller in diameter (44 vs 42) I think, a true white dial, vs a creamy white dial on the current Steelfish, and obviously a GMT hand. I really like the watch, and own a current white Steelfish and thought about going to the GMT but do not want a 2 mm smaller watch. I do wish my Steelfish came with a true white dial though. Its a great watch,

Its real. The price looks a bit steep though.

Yeah no doubt its real, but I also agree that the asking is a little high. If it just came back from a service, the asking would be good. But with the service records unknown I would rate a good deal price closer to the $1500-1600 USD range.
