Don't be afraid to pick out 2 that you like because you'll more than likely be picking up another in the near future.

Hello, you have to go to the AD and feel them in the flesh, from the web I was convinced I wanted a SA but then compared both in the AD and couldn`t resist to buy the Skyland. Congratulations on the marriage and the gift.

Hi mmb1226

Welcome - having become a Breitling guy just recently - I share your fun in the selection process.

About 6 weeks ago - I purchased my first Breitling - a white Chrono Avenger - this is a titanium watch that was discontinued late in 2007 - a great watch.

About 2 weeks ago - I was fortunate enough to purchase a blue Super Avenger and develop a great relationship with an AD here in Phoenix.

I have to say that I like the two watches equally - but I am finding that I am wearing the SA a bit more than the CA - why - I just like how it feels. With me - after a few minutes with the SA - I just noticed a smile had broken out!!!!!! It is a really cool watch.

The best advice I saw from friends in the forum which I echo......try on the 2 watches you like the best and wear them for 5 minutes or so....with me the SA - 'bigness' disappeared and it just felt right for me.

The most important item however, is BE GOOD TO YOUR FIANCE - SHE SOUNDS LIKE A REAL KEEPER - for me, my wife is also a keeper - she smiles ever day when she looks at my watch and finds I have put on another one..... she just smiles

Terry

:welcome:

Well I went and tried on quite a few watches today. I have decided to go with the Chrono Evolution in all graphite. It is #147 in the most recent catalog. I really liked the Skyland Avenger but I thought it looked a little too "chunky" on my wrist. I appreciate everyone on the sites help and I will post a pic when I get one.

Called another AD today to make sure I was getting the best deal on my Chrono Evo. I told her I had been quoted 25% off by another AD and she said that by buying a Breitling for more than 20% off retail you are voiding the warranty because Breitling does not allow its dealers to discount that much. Anyone heard this? I will probably be buying this watch in the next few days and I just want to make sure I am getting the best deal possible. Thanks again for the help.

Sorry to be so blunt, but she is full of it. Many on this forum have been able to get discounts in the 25-30% range. I would jump at the 25% very soon given the looming price increase. Most discounts tend to be in the 15-20% range so 25% for your first purchase from an AD is excellent.

:yeahthat

Stay away from the second one. If they tell that type of stories, what else will they try to tell you?
