Dial layouts of B-1 and Aerospace look similar (two digital displays), but there are some significant visual differences when it comes to the case design.

One difference is that B-1 has 2 pushers, while Aerospace seems to only have crown for controlling the functions.

How different are these two models in terms of the functions?

nearly identical. Have a play with both in an AD. See if you like the handling of the aero with the crown only. Most people I know with the aero use its functions less, but prefer the thin light feel of the watch. The b1/airwolf is much bigger & bulkier with bling.
cheers

I have both and much prefer the B-1 for ease of use.

The Aerospace is trickier to operate but has pretty well the same functionality.

You wont be able to try out a B-1 at the AD as they are long since discontinued but you can compare an Airwolf, which has the same movement.

Whether it's an Aerospace, B-1, or G-Shock etc, it takes time to suss out the functions of an all singing, all dancing watch!

I much prefer the Aerospace for its relatively simple, elegant form.

IMHO the B1 is the iconic Tool Watch.

Just got reacquainted with a B-1 SQ. LOVE it. The perfect watch for me, and great functionality. I like the Aero, but I think the presence of the B-1 is far better as well. JMHO. :yeahthat

B-1. Aero would be a nice piece though if you want something smaller and lighter and thinner.

The Aerospace's thin case is a turn-off for some. It wears like a pancake. In a way the bezel seems too thick and rugged for the thin case. This gives the watch an unbalanced, almost freakish look. For me, it took some getting used to, but I now love it. It's beauty is its unique and utilitarian design.

Now that I'm used to the Aerospace, the B-1 and Airwolf seem unnecessarily thick and heavy, as if trying to mimic an automatic. I never much cared for the hands on the B-1, and am not a fan of the ticking second hand. However, I believe the B-1's movement is superior to the Aerospace's. If it is the same as the Airwolf, the B-1's back light is illuminated by pushing the crown. While the Aerospace requires that you slowly turn the crown. This can make back light activation a little more difficult in the Aerospace, and unintended back light activation is common when switching between functions.
