What other (reputable) Brand names out there have something that is rather large faced (like a Navi World or SA) that would be good for a weekend watch. I was looking at the Pan Sub 1950 47mm. Very Nice! This made me start to think...hmmmm I may possible move on with something besides a Ling.

Also, with your opinions please post a pic of your recommended watch. I know my B's but not many others.

Beautiful watch but i don't know if I'd spend 10k on a weekend watch. My favorite weekend watch in the size you are looking for is an Omega Planet Ocean Chrono. Don't have a photo handy sorry.

For my "Weekend Watch" I would like descent water resistance and ruggedness. This way I can beat it up a little bit. Kinda like the SA.

This is my next watch, 45.5mm Omega Planet Ocean. Great water resistance at 600m and you could get one with white numbers instead of orange and the rubber strap with white stitching if you want it to be a little more traditional looking. Throw it on a bracelet or a brown croc and it's also a very classy looking watch. They also make it in a chrono version like mfserge said and that looks great as well.

All relatively large watches that don't really go with a suit. If you want something comparable in size to a Navi World or SA, check out the JLC and Bell & Ross 46mm versions.

I have this exact watch, although it's currently on a different rubber strap, and it has survived all the chopping and changing in my collection over the last couple of years. I've had it longer than any of the others and I have no plans to sell it - I love it.

Quite - it's only 41MM and wears at least that small. Great watch - but not a big dial if that's what you want.

I think for the price you cant beat Oris. Now I just posted a few samples of their divers. I would check out their website and get the model you actually would want.


You know though. if you want something large and in charge the SA would be great. If you dotn mind sticking with Ling, which who would?

i would have to agree with mfserge, roman4405 and otto. the 45mm planet ocean is my go to watch for the beach etc. and living in the bahamas, it gets plenty of wrist time. the best part is that it is very affordable. pre-owned ones sell between $1,750 and $2,000. here's a quick shot of mine in it's natural habitat. all the best.

Is that the 42 or 45mm? Looks great.
