Today, I found out some rather disturbing news that was given to me via my AD.
Unfortunately, it seems that Breitling are to pull the Emergency from its ranks due to Dassault no longer making the transmitter, and they gave Breitling such short notice that they have been forced into recalling all current stock levels of both the Emergency and Mission to enable enough spares for future servicing. So much so that they have secured the remainder of the Dassault Transmitters to enable such servicing for current customers.
I have been informed that upon future development a new Emergency will arrive but as yet no dates are given.
This is a sad time when what in my opinion one of Breitling's signature is taken from us. And its been noted that Air forces around the world are already up in arms about it, due to the fact that many rely on this very instrument
I have been informed that it will continue to be monitored, its merely the manufacture that has been affected
