I am looking for a non-chrono watch and narrowed my choice down to either the Colt Automatic or the SuperOcean (not the one with the Rubber Bezel). Curious which watch you guys would lean towards? I am looking for this to be more of an everyday wearer that can be dressed up or down. Thanks guys!

I know you didn't mention this but is the Steelfish an option? If not, I'd vote for the SuperOcean.

I know this is a Breitling forum but my next watch is gonna be an everyday non-chrono and I'm going with the 45.5mm Omega Planet Ocean. Just something to think about. If you're set on a Breitling, very understandable, I'd go with the Superocean out of your two choices.

Oh yeah? I'm still trying to decide between the 42mm and the 45.5mm, these damn tough decisions

Presonally I like like the styling on the Colt a little more. The size is a little smaller and works for an all around watch (sport / dress). The baton markers help the watch strike a good balance between tool and sophistication. Depending how tough you are are with your watches the polished finished may be difficult. Personally I happen to wear a Colt almost every day and with minimal effort I've been able to keep a like new appearance.

Keep us posted on your decision!

Go for the big fella.

They used to describe it as 'two dinner plates taped together strapped to your wrist'

Depending on the size of your wrist the Super Avenger is a good looking piece....

Much prefer the baton markers on the Colt auto over the older Superocean dial.

I like to swap over to leather bands now and then and the Colt suits them very well

+2. I think the Steelfish works great as an all around watch. You said that you do not like the newer version of the Superocean...have you seen it in person? I did not like it either when I first saw it in pictures, but have grown to love it after looking at it at my AD a few times (especially with the yellow ring  ).

Thanks for the comment. It's not that I don't like the SuperOcean II...I just think it might be a bit "too sporty" for everday. Of all the colors I like the yellow. I guess the black or silver wouldn't be too sporty. But they all look great

I thought the same thing (in fact I really didn't care for it when I first saw it), but it has a totally different look in person. I would also agree that probably the black has the least sporty look to it...then the silver/white.

If the size works for you, the Colt has on of my favorite Breitling dials. Its classy, sporty, dressy, whatever. I sold mine because it was just a bit too small for me. Beautiful dial though.
