I think this collection is great for the level of knowledge that he appears to have about watches. Movements, functions etc.

Oh well, time to start looking for stray cats. And buy more watches - lots more.

BTW, Pawn Stars is awesome and the head dude, as has been pointed out previoulsy, is a Breitling man.

I actually find it 'sad' . . . there is nothing special about a particular piece -. . .

Roff's response was closest to my own reaction. I am doing my best not to judge this collector; it's not my place. If he derives pleasure from his watches, so be it. But when a collection is so large, how can a collector even know what he has to enjoy?

The healthiest collectors I have met in my life have a cataloged, organized collection of whatever it is they collect.

Peace

Mike

Well I guess we all approach this hobby (addiction?) of ours in different ways, but I agree with others that seeing a mound of watches (while being impressive from a sheer numbers point of view) is actually quite a shame IMO. To have so many as to forget what you own is IMO a sign of way way too many. I may think of it slightly differently if they were all carefully stored and if the guy said he wore a different one every day or something, but as it is I just think it's a shame. An astonishing one, but still a shame nonetheless.

I didn't know anybody liked Seiko's so much. This guy has issues.

My Dad swears by Seiko's , He says the Sa I have is a POS, My dad has about 6 or 7 old Seiko's from the last 40 years ,and wouldn't own anything but a Seiko.

That collection isnt impressive to me. Out of the 100-200 watches, there might be 1-2 I would own. Crap mostly.

Eh, I will just stick with my 4 nice watches. He can keep most of that junk. And not to flame anyone (or any style of watch), I personally would not spend any good money on any Seiko. Of course, that's just my opinion.

I guess I may have to start looking at the swatch watches. I see them in thrift store all the time for .90 each. The skeleton swatches looked pretty cool.

 WOW. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. An utter shambles isn't it?!

I appreciate that he likes to collect but it is sad to see them kept that way. Not a lot there I liked to be honest. Oh well each to their own.

Just think of the winders you would need to keep that lot in time
