Here is an example of the box i am referring to in the post. I have seen these many times over the years. Are they Breitling boxes or not?

I can't access ebay at work, so I can't open your link, but Breitling definitely did (still do?) make wooden boxes for the solid gold models. I sourced a nice walnut Bentley version for my old Le Mans, and I've seen a few "standard Breitling" wooden versions over the years too. They are very nicely made things.

thanks for the reply. I also dont think breitling ever made a standard beitling watch (non gold or limited) wooden box. Someone once told me they did so in the Asia market???

I have exactly the same box as first one in Al's post, my B-2 came in it.

OK I've just managed to open the eBay link (at last!) and I don't think that's a genuine one. The only gens I've seen look like Alan M's.

Sorry I must agree with Driver8. There are LE wooden Breitling boxes out there that I have not seen but I think that you can tell by the workmanship.

That one looks a little 'looooose'

Here's a link to an older one I bought from swiss1, square corners though, the ebay one looks too modern for a Breitling, but who knows could have been a special deal.

Glad you are liking those boxes gentlemen ! The box in that ad. is not genuine, the Chrono Avenger fakes are the best out there, incredibly good, one almost fooled me a few years ago. I cannot see close, but becareful with that there watch.

Yep, at the time one was presented to me in a part ex., i was using a genuine one as a daily user, the fake was amazing, until we had the back off ! The general weight and aesthetics were at the time the best of any fake. Interestingly, most were blue with a matching UTC !

Swiss1, I know you have just downsized your box collection (thanks) but do you have any pics? (would be great to see more)
