I like the Maurice Lacroix better but it's a manual wind. If you're in the market for a skeleton watch take a look at the Perrelet Skeleton or the Chronoswiss Skeleton, both have automatic movements which looks pretty cool skeletonized. They are both superior in my opinion with full chronos and second time zone (I know the perrelet has a 2nd time zone). Both are in a similar price range as the Maurice Lacroix.

I am a very big fan of Milus and the Tirion is a great piece - especially when you see it in action. An absolute no brainer for me although I don't think that either are particularly good value.

Are you talking like 8-11k range? Can you post links to the above mentioned please? Thanks.

I did find this. Kind of cool to know he is a watch lover. That the Tirion correct?

For looks I'd go with the Milus hands down.... but it's a lot of money for an ETA based movement. The ML has the manufacture movement, (albeit a slow beating manual wind), but I'm personally less of a fan of the looks.

Additionally, over here at least, ML tend to be known for fairly low-end pieces with a lot of quartz movements in them. I owned one as a beater a few years back. Nothing overly wrong with it but not top-end by a long way. They even sell them from time to time on Bid.TV shopping channels! Of course the Masterpiece range is an entirely different matter as they are very good watches, but personally I'd struggle to get away from the low-end connection, no matter how good they are.

For me the ideal would be the in-house element of the ML movement coupled with the looks and form of the Milus. Doesn't help you choose, but there we are!

That Milus looks awesome. It looks super complicated, but the time and retrograde hands are still very legible. The ML looks okay as well, but it just has that generic skeleton type look to it. The Milus has that super gadgety Richard Mille style to it. Plus, at 45mm you get to see the details in all their glory.

I see where you're coming from RJ, but I reckon it looks quite JLC-like actually.

Well as far as I'm concerned (although Roff may have a different reason for saying it's not overly great value), it's a minimum of 10K for the steel version and it's a base ETA under that fancy tri-retrograde module. For that sort of cash there are better value pieces out there. Additionally Milus are not exactly well known outside of watch circles so you aren't even paying for the name. Still a nice looking watch though.
