I was just curious what would constitute my Ad to no longer be a Breitling Ad? I was advised by my Ad that they were no longer Ad's for Breitling . What would make them no longer be able to sell them? I am certain its not because of the pricing, this shop always wanted top dollar for everything ,and didnt want to discount anything.

I was thinking that if they are no longer Ad's they may have some displays and other stuff they may sell. Do they have to send this stuff back to Ling? I was just curious

it may be because the weren't moving enough of them. as far as sending stuff back, i know sharkman just got a good deal on an omega after his ad stopped selling them.

They really didn't have much in the cases I really wanted , so I never asked pricing. I know they had a platinum Bentley , but thats out 95% of the populations budget. I was hoping for maybe a Breitling poster or just weird things that Breitling makes. Each store I swear gets different swag and diff display pieces, figured I could get a couple displays for a couple hundred bucks.

They may have not met their sales goals or they decided to use the shelf space for another brand. I hope they didn't do anything in breach of their AD contract but that could always be a possibility.

There could be many reasons, maybe you can get a leftover watch at a great price!

Yea, check out any deals; you could always "flip" a watch for something you do want.

The dealer display equipment has to go back to Breitling, the only way that these things get to the market is if they are reported as damaged or lost.

As others have said, the most likely explanations are failure to meet sales goals or a decision to move to another brand.

Ive also heard of other brands--Panerai and Rolex, for instance--being pushy about what other brands are in the store. Its possible that pressure from another manufacturer that they carry, or are hoping to carry, has given them some "helpful advice."

I will go back ,and see what kind of deals they have on anything left, maybe they will tell me why they are no longer an AD. The worst they can tell me is nothing.

A lot of brands are becoming more selective as to who stocks their brands for the purposes of exclusivity. This is something Rolex have been doing for years and I have noticed Omega are doing it a lot over here in the UK so it would be no surprise if Breitling were to follow suit. They look at all kinds of factors such as the post code (or zip code), other brands sold and the general image of the retailer.

What he said. My AD said yesterday that Omega and Breitling have been tightening up their dealer network in order to maintain retail pricing and exclusivity. With a limited supply, they don't need lots of dealers.
