Hi folks,
Dunnno what do do, I'm going for another Ling, I want a Steel Bracelet and a big case. Thinking of Super Avenger, Avenger Skyland or Chrono Avenger M1.
My preferred choice so far is the SA, but what colour face :?: White seems top of the list so far.
I know it's a personal choice, but I would love to hear anyone elses thoughts!

You're right when you say it's a personal choice, however from what you say (you want a steel bracelet and a big case) then you should probably discount the M1 as it is 44mm (so not that big by Breitling standards) and it is titanium. It's also quartz compared to the other two autos. Maybe you want a quartz... or maybe you don't.

The Skyland and the Super Avenger are very similar to each other, with the only major difference being the size. On paper there is not much in it, but trust me the SA wears MUCH bigger than the Skyland. Other differences are purely aesthetic on dial.

In terms of SA dial colour... well, you can't really go wrong with any of them, although given the choice I would say that the blue is least favourite from a personal perspective. Don't know why, just an opinion. I own a white dial one on croco, but I am SERIOUSLY considering getting another with a black dial on the bracelet. You honestly can't go wrong with any.

Good preferred choice there on the SA.

For dial color, my choice was black. I wanted a versatile dial that would work with a lot of different outfits. White is also nice, and also very versatile, but my thought back then was that the white dial would make it look a bit too big (because it does look bigger in white). After that I've got a white 6.75 and a white Navi Legende... :) They do look bigger than the SA and that is not just because they actually are bigger - much is due to the white dial. Blue was never an option for me. The Breilting blue is a very beautiful color, but I didn't feel it would do it's versatile job on my SA. So far, I've never regretted the black dial.

I bought the black Skyland -- though the SA is really stunning in person. I liked the stenciled numbers, and the slightly smaller size. Though the Skyland is by no means a small watch. As for colour, I don't think you can go wrong. If you get a chance to see them in person, I'm sure one will speak to you. I bought black, but they had a white-dial SA in the case which was a beauty.

On a side note, I never noticed the radial flip on the inner bezel until DocDiesel just posted that picture.

Go with the Super Avenger.

I like black dials, but I don't like the fact the subdials are silver on the Super Avenger. I'm kind of torn between the two myself.

Went to my AD today, didn't realise how hard they are to get hold of as only 1 of the 4 or 5 stockists had one. Tried on the black today, they are getting a white one for me later in the week to see. I had no idea just how big the watch is :o Can't wait to see the white one now!!!

Damian,

I like all the colors for the SA but one thing you may want to consider and that is that with a Black or Blue dial the Silver sub dials show up much better with more contrast. On the white dial you can hardly notice the difference between the dial color and the sub dials but on Blue or Black dials the Silver Subs REALLY stand out. I have a blue SA and I bought my Nephew a Black one and we just love them. The SA really is the FULL LING !
