Probably. I do think one of these years they are going to have a break through in watchmaking. Its just a matter of time. If anyone can do it I would think it to be them.

I've been thinking about selling my Sea Dweller to get the new Sub, in fact I've been going back and forth on it a bit. At the moment I'm leaning towards keeping the SD.

The new Sub is a great watch. List price is a big increase over the old model, but I think it can hold its own being priced at the same level as the GMT IIC. Compared to the GMT you lose the GMT function, obviously, but gain a higher WR rating and a better bracelet. It makes me wish I could get an all-brushed bracelet with Glidelock clasp for my GMT.

I'm sure about one thing: Rolex are going to sell a LOT of these things.

I'm not remotely tempted to 'go for the SDDS', it's $2000 more and I don't like the proportions of it (I went and tried it on again after I last posted on this subject - still feel the same).
