Im very interested in getting a Black Croc Strap, and if there different styles for my Datora, or between the deployants and butterfly clasps, and everything. I've never bought one yet, since I've used the first bracelet that came on my watch.

On another side, I noticed a lot people going for saving a little cash by croc straps and non-auth Breitling parts. I just want to have all my choices to look at. :)

Heres my picture that I'm putting it on.

First of all - nice watch!!!

You can order a croco strap on tang buckle(regular pin type buckle) from your Breitling AD and will pay between $300-$400, but the straps are worth it - very high quality. And it would look great on your Datora.

If you want deployment (fold over ) clasp add in $200+.

I don't have experience yet with indy strap makers, but you'll find plenty of folks who do. I will soon though since I was introduced to stonecreekstraps and am having an alligator rally strap custom made for a Chopard with an odd 21mm lug width. That is costing me about $250 with rolled edges.

Breitling straps, like most brand straps, are more costly, but IMO worth it especially when you consider what you paid for the watch.

Good luck.

Thank you!

That helped me a lot! I will plan on getting the tang and the fold over clasp too. They should look best.

The Breitling straps are different for tang and deployant - deployant straps don't have the holes needed for tang buckles. If you are planning to use the same strap to save buying both then make sure that you get the tang strap - the holes don't stop the deployant from working.

I think I'm wrong too. So different straps? Does this mean I shouldn't buy the tang because it wouldn't work?

Tang strap will work with tang and deployant buckles

Deployant strap will only work with deployant buckle

I have all short tangs. This means I can buy a couple deployments and use the strap pieces in deployment? If so it's off to the AD I go today. I had no idea.

So, I should bother with the tang and get the deployant strap and the buckle for it to complete it? Because I seems I won't need tang, and save that cash?

If you aren't going to use the tang then no need to get it, but a deployant strap will not work with a tang buckle - no holes.

How do you guys feel for this? I'm thinking getting black and brown which is cheaper than 2 sets too. Is this company good?

http://www.thewatchprince.com/watch-ban ... ant-Straps

Also, I can't tell the size I need on my watch to measure it while it's at breitling USA repairing now.

I also meant, I'm going to ordering the breitling deployant buckle.

Nick,

you need a 22/20 for your datora.

I had a brown croc and a black croc on mine and both looked supurb!

Be aware that the ones in your liknk are not Breitling straps (they are aftermarket, made 'for' breitling but not by Breitling) a totally different feel IMUHO.

Thank you! I'm sure they are aftermarket straps. Is there a better company making these straps? I feel, the most important part is the buckle.

If you are worried about the buckle, buy the breitling one, but its expensive. If you want something custom made for less money (but still not cheap), check out ABP Paris. They probably have the best quality custom stuff around.
