I just purchased this watch 4 months ago from an AD. A few weeks after that the bracelet pin failed and the watch falled from my wrist to the floor.

Last tuesday the day name hand stopped and when I tried to change it to wesnesday the small button on the side was stiff and the hand didn't move. I sent the watch for repair to the master dealership in Mexico City. Will let you know what happened.

Anyone having problems with the Olympus?

Sorry to hear abot your problem, but I think the movement issue is more than likely entirely down to the knock it took when the spring bar failed, so won't indicative of a problem with the Olympus per se.

On the subject of springs bars though - while they can fail occasional (just like anything can), the most usual reason for an apparent spring bar failure is it not being seated correctly in the hole as a result of changing the strap. Was the bar damaged when your watch fell on the floor?

No, the bar was not damaged. I still don't have news from the AD. They say it can take over a week. I let you know.

The watch is on its way back! They said it was a minor adjustment and that the problem was caused by the hit it took when it falled from my wrist. They said it shouldn't have any problems in the future. The movement was tested and its working fine and not losing or gaining time outside the normal parameters.

I'm happy to get it back, it is one of my favorite watches.

Thanks for your comments.

Just got my watch back last friday and is looking like new all polished and working just fine. So far its not gaining nor losing time (hard to see in four days anyway).

The service center in Mexico city send it with a small Breitling padded box. I'm satisfied with the warranty service.

BTW I just got the black croc bracelet.
