I don't imagine 316L shoes would be very comfortable.

I've got several straps, only OEM at this stage and specifically a black calf OEM for my Breitling. I love how a change can complely alter the look of a watch. A few months on either one and then a change alters the entire appearance of the watch IMO.

I've been checking out some aftermarket straps to change things up even more and when my latest acquisiton arrives I'm looking forward to seeing the results.

I don't dislike bracelets, but I've come to prefer straps (both leather and rubber) almost exclusively on my Steelfish. Just seems to be something in the Breitling DNA that begs for straps.

Nah, and my feet are wide/flat so they would need to be custom made too.

I love leather straps and especially croco straps.

IMO they make a watch stand out much more than a bracelet. But, like whizzler said, there is a slight disadvantage in hot weather. And it also depends on the use of your watch. Surely, you cannot go diving with a leather strap.
