I don't know if I'd agree with the Rolex is overrated thing, I think the problem with Rolex is that everybody knows them so people who don't know anything about watches think that they're the only premium watch brand out there.

The main problem that I have with Rolex isn't anything about the watches themselves, but with the perception that comes with wearing one. I generally wear shorts and t-shirts or polo's, so if I was wearing a Rolex I guarantee that everybody would just assume I'm wearing a replica. Now, I don't want nice watches for what other people think I want them for me, that's why I wouldn't buy a replica, but it would bug me thinking that everyone assumes that my watch is fake, does any of that make sense?

There are only two Rolex models that I actually like, the DSSD and the GMTII, but as far as being a premium, quality timepiece I think that in the eyes of people that actually know what they're talking about they're viewed as just that, a quality timepiece.
