Hi,

I have just bought my new Chrono Colt II on a PROII braclet, and already no matter how carful I am is starting to get little swirls/scratches on it, Its making me feel really bad  I don't handle my watches badly, I love them, yet so many scratches ?

Any solutions anybody ??????

Do a search for cape cod om here - there are hundreds of threads.

Those or Sunshine cloths work well.

Best advice when wearing any polished bracelet -

Don't worry about it. They are coming no mater what you do, the best option is to just live with it. They always seem much worse to you staring at them vs. anyone walking by and seeing it on your wrist. I do however give mine a good wipe with the Cape Cod every couple of months, just try not to obsess about it.

my steelfish with the pro2 is a little over a month old, and i have already accumulated many scratches and swirls on it. it doesn't bother me one bit. it's bound to happen, and you will go crazy if you go OCD over them.

Polish it out with a Cape Cod cloth. Go to an electronics store and buy a digital camera screen protector sheet(s). Cut a rectangle 1mm or so smaller than the buckle dimensions, round the corners. Peel and stick. It is virtually invisible, and can be replaced and removed easily.

Think of it as a patina. Patina's are lovely. Perspective changed - problem solved!

Scratches, dings and swirls are part of the life of all polished stainless steel breitling you will have. Yes you can polish it out with cape cod cloth, but the truth is, there are some you wont be able to polish out with it.

But do not worry, it's a Breitling, and at the end of the day, your buddies will still tell you :" Men do you polish that thing every day? It looks just like the day you bought it."

WE are the only ones who care/see does scratches. Just forget about it (ok, really, i can't but that's just me...) and clean it with a cape cod once a month.

:wowzers if the scrapes and scratches on bracelets are deep two suggestions .....Solvol a stainless steel cleaner or an old remedy Brasso......they take out heavy scratches used with a soft pad and water .......cape cod is good for the swirls ect but takes an age for anything deeper.......

Reading this post made me clean my watch. :D

There is no easy answer. Just take the advice of all the previous posts. You'll be ok after a while.

just got my SO Steelfish and searched cape cod cloths... are these recommended to be used on the brushed steel bracelets as well, or just the polished ones. Sorry for the newbie question but after getting it today I wanna keep it clean!!
