When I purchased the Zenith Chronomaster XXT Open my eye was truly drawn to an XT Flyback Moonage – annual calendar, true moon phase. But I balked at the sticker. So I “settled” I guess.

Today I got the watch I really wanted in return of the XXT. Nothing avant garde in this one at all, but I think a truly classic dress watch. Opted for brown alligator strap rather than black and also bracelet.

Sophomoric pics again, I’ve reached the “Zenith” of my photography skill.

Simply beautiful. This possilby could be my next piece. Quick question: Are the five minute markers and hands silver also? Some of the pics they look gold and others they look black.

May I ask what you paid for this with both the bracelet and strap?

I figured out long ago that it's usually a bad idea to 'settle' for something because it doesn't stop the craving for what I really want. +1 for going back and getting the one that really caught your eye.

That's a stunning watch. I agree with the choice of brown over the black strap too. :D

The retail is $13,300 (on bracelet - figure about $600 less on strap) with Zenith AD discounts expected at at least 25%. A Zentih alligator bracelet and deployment retails for $890. Actually I am using the 22mm from the XXT ( the XT is 21mm), but made it work.

The hands and hour markers are silver but dark. The only "gold" hand is the moon phase. The dial has many levels and patterns. Obviously it is much more subtle on the wrist than those macro pics I just snapped. Definitely a keeper.

Beautiful watch Sharkman...so how many Zenith's does this make now? I noticed that you no longer list the watches by model (exept the lings). Your signature must be getting too long to keep up with. :nana:

That really is a very nice piece sharkman. I'm starting to appreciate Zenith's more now.

I'm also glad you finally got what you truly wanted.

I've never had a Fllyback before. Handy as a pocket on a shirt!

Thanks for all the help! Enjoy and wear it in good health!

Now that's a beautiful watch. It has everything I love in a watch, roman numerals, moon phase, in house movement, etc. It can't get much better than that one!! Great pick up, glad you finally got the Zenith you really wanted.
